Small, bumpy roads lead into the vast hinterland with its olive groves, vineyards and ancient cork oaks. Past whitewashed villages with peaceful alleys and secluded squares.
One of these dreamy villages is Messejana.
In the middle of the historic centre of Messejana, not far from the market square, lies our old manor house dating from 1759. It is surrounded by a small ‘pomar’ – a typical orchard with orange, lemon, fig and pomegranate trees, various olive trees and an old well. From the former historic irrigation tank, which now houses the saltwater swimming pool, there is a magnificent view over the small village with its historic heritage.

Onde o calor da paisagem encontra os ventos frescos do Atlântico, fica o Alentejo.
Pequenas estradas acidentadas conduzem ao vasto interior, com os seus olivais, vinhas e velhos sobreiros. Passando por aldeias caiadas de branco, com ruas tranquilas e praças acolhedoras.
Uma dessas aldeias de sonho é Messejana.
No centro histórico de Messejana, não muito longe da praça do mercado, encontra-se a nossa antiga mansão, construída em 1759. Rodeada por um pequeno «pomar» – o típico jardim com laranjeiras, limoeiros, figueiras e romãzeiras, várias oliveiras e um antigo poço. Do antigo tanque de irrigação histórico, onde hoje se encontra a piscina de água salgada, tem-se uma vista maravilhosa sobre a pequena aldeia com património histórico.
